Custom Development — ANTE & Co.
Built to hold up
under real use.
Front-end and back-end development for platforms, apps, and systems that need to do more than look good in a demo. We work across the stack and build for real usage, real scale, and real maintenance, not just launch day.
What We Build With
Across the stack.
We pick the stack to fit the project, not the other way around. Most of it lands on some combination of these, chosen for what the system actually needs to do.

Beyond the App
What "Holds Up" Means
The problems we build against.
Breaks the first time real traffic hits it
Built and tested against real usage, not just a demo.
No one else can maintain it later
Written to be read by someone other than us, with sensible structure and no cleverness for its own sake.
Edge cases nobody thought about
Tested against the messy inputs real users actually produce, not just the happy path.
Security bolted on at the end
Authentication, data isolation, and validation considered from the start, not patched in before launch.
No record of why anything was built the way it was
Decisions documented as we go, so the reasoning is still there once we're not.
Relevant Work
Two real builds.
Most of our public work has been research-lab websites, so here are two examples with real engineering depth instead: one of our own products, and the internal system we built to run the agency itself.
Namota
A booking, payments, and staff-scheduling platform, built to handle real appointment volume, multiple businesses, and money moving through it, not just a prototype flow.

ANTE Mailer
A Fastify and TypeScript backend, a React frontend, and a real MJML email compiler running server-side rather than trusting the visual editor's own output. Built with account isolation from day one, since it handles other people's contact data.

How We Build
Architecture before code.
Define the technical approach
01What needs to be true for this to work at the scale and complexity it actually needs.
Architect before coding
02Data model, system boundaries, and integration points, decided before the first component gets built.
Build in stages
03Real, working versions along the way, not one long build with nothing to check until the end.
Test as we go
04Automated where it earns its keep, manual where judgement still matters.
Document what matters
05Not everything, just the decisions someone else would otherwise have to re-derive.
Support after launch
06Software needs upkeep. We stay involved rather than disappearing at go-live.
Related Capabilities
Code is rarely the whole job.

that needs to be built properly?
